The Copywriter is part of a multidisciplinary team of production and creative individuals. The Copywriter is responsible for the creation of creative advertising spots. This creative team member helps develop client stories with the goal of increasing brand impressions, through the use of various digital mediums avaliable out there today.
Partners with Account Executives to develop storyboards.
Develops scripts and production concepts from scratch, or may improve upon a client’s previous advertisement by enhancing and updating the creative.
Delivers agreed upon Creative Brief to meet the client’s needs.
Writes concise, clear copy and thinks visually when developing concepts.
Has an understanding of the editing process and can communicate their vision for the projects effectively.
Must be able to work productively and harmoniously as a teammate with producers, editors, clients and the sales staff.
Works closely with other Creative Services groups to identify opportunities for the team and assist with additional creative projects coming from the field or corporate Production/Creative.
Having a website with demo reel is helpful to demonstrate creative and technical skills.
Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented.
Art direction skills a plus.
Proven track record of helping to increase brand awareness through the use of creative is essential.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in advertising or production is preferred.
